Tripura govt seeks Rs 12,480 cr for 13 externally-aided projects

This also include the infrastructure development of seven districts headquarters in Tripura’ with project cost of Rs 1,650.84 crore, scheme for augmentation of returns through high-value products and key interventions in forests (Mission SARTHAK)’ with project cost of Rs 1,630.50 crore, ‘Agartala smart city’ with project cost of Rs 500 crore, and ‘Development of tourism infrastructure and improvement of road connectivity to different Tourist destination in state’ with project cost of Rs 500 crore.

The projects of Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB), KFW Development Bank of Germany and World Bank are ‘infrastructure development of AMC area’ with total project cost of Rs 1,342.64 crore, climate resilience of forest ecosystems, biodiversity, climate adaptive capacities in Tripura’ needs a loan of Rs 204.55 crore and pathway from poverty to empowerment: Transforming the lives of shifting cultivators and landless tribal forest dwellers of Tripura’ with project cost of Rs 329.75 crore, respectively.

Two projects from Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) are rural drinking water supply in Tripura with a total project cost of Rs 1,519.55 crore and Development of River Catchments on Tripura for Climate Change Adoption, Conservation of Biodiversity and Sustained Livelihood by harnessing the landscape in Tripura with a cost of Rs 1,000 crore.
