Thoubal, October 09 2021: Deputy Chief Minister Yumnam Joykumar has stated that the National People Party (NPP), which is a coalition partner of the incumbent Government would win absolute majority in the forthcoming State Assembly election and form the Government.
He said this during a felicitation ceremony of NPP intending candidate from Heirok Assembly Constituency social worker N Diten Singh at Heirok Part-I Umang Laikol on Friday.
Saying that NPP which is a National party is not seen as a major contestant for the 2022 Assembly election, Joykumar contended that the party, however, has already finished identifying winnable candidates while BJP and Congress are busy taunting one another.
The Deputy CM further stated the party, though most of its candidates are new, would win at least 40 seats and one among them is N Diten.
Urging the party workers to abstain from violence while seeking support from the people, Joykumar maintained that violence is used by those who lack confidence in themselves and attempt to persuade people using money power.
The goal of the NPP is to improve infrastructure, health & education sectors and empower youths of the State, he said and added that what matters in developing any society is deliverance of promises.
Every party gives promises but none fulfils them wholly, he said and assured that the NPP will give its best effort to improve the education sector, even if the party can’t fulfil others.
Further stating that NPP is a party dedicated to the people of North East, Joykumar reiterated that the party would surely form the Government in Manipur in 2022 .
“To solve the problem in the North East region, voting NPP to power is crucial,” he added.
The programme was also attended by NPP Manipur president N Kayisi and general secretary organisation Noor Hasan among others.
