Lone woman Minister Nemcha Kipgen

Kangpokpi, Sept 24-2020: The Thadou Inpi, general headquarters, has condemned the dropping of the lone woman Minister Nemcha Kipgen from the Cabinet and demanded that she be re-instated.

In a statement, Thadou Inpi said that the untimely change and reshuffle in the Cabinet today was unexpected and added “we express serious concern over the removal of the lone woman elected BJP MLA of Kangpokpi Assembly Constituency from the Cabinet”.

It also stated that dropping Nemcha Kipgen is unexpected and defeats women empowerment which leaves the people of her Constituency in particular and the women community of Manipur in general flabbergasted.

Hence it is the onus of the Government to rectify and re-instate the lone woman MLA who has brought lots of development to the district in particular and the State as a whole, it added.

It further stated that the necessity of one Minister from the three ACs of Kangpokpi district is felt by one and all and urged timely redressal.
