Imphal, October 27 2021: BJP Manipur Pradesh president A Sharda Devi has said that a BJP alone government is sure to come in the state after the 12th Manipur Legislative Assembly election due to be held in early part of 2022. Sharda stated this during a Mahila Samelan organised by BJP Konthoujam Mandal Mahila Morcha at the residence of Konthoujam MLA Dr Sapam Ranjan in Konthoujam Awang Leikai on Wednesday.
Addressing the gathering, Sarda said BJP has been conducting a survey in every district of the state to ensure that the party gets majority in the Assembly election and have its own government.
Accordingly, party workers and leaders are working day and night and hold consultations with local leaders and survey for Bishnupur, Thoubal and Ukhrul districts had already been completed, she said and expressed hope that BJP would emerge victorious in all six assembly segments in Bishnupur district.
She then appealed people of Konthoujam AC to elect Dr Sapam Ranjan and enable him to be part of the BJP alone government after 2022 election.
The BJP president also recalled how the present government led by chief minister N Biren made enormous effort for bringing back stranded people of the state from other states of the country and abroad and how the government is fighting against COVID-19 pandemic.
In his speech, Dr Sapam Ranjan said that he personally witnessed the pain and suffering of the people of Konthoujam AC including flood before he became representative of people and accordingly took up steps to prevent flash flood after becoming MLA by dredging Nambul and Khabi river bed.
He also said that the chief minister N Biren-led government has launched several welfare schemes for the people and has been able to bring a big change within a short period unlike past governments.
The event was also attended by BJP Konthoujam Mandal Mahila Morcha president Chingsubam Taruni, BJP Imphal West district in-charge L Tejkumar, BJP Imphal West district president Ph Phoni, BJP Manila Morcha Imphal West district A Thaja and BJP Konthoujam Mandal president Hidangmayum Lalkanhai Sharma.
