Imphal, July 16 2022: As the number of detection of daily new Covid 19 cases increases with each passing day, the total of active cases has reached 450 on Saturday with government bulletins confirming 94 new positive cases from nine districts out of 590 samples tested in the last 24 hours, registering 15.93 per cent positivity rate.
The 94 fresh cases (47 male & 46 female) are residents of Imphal West (41), Imphal East (29), Thoubal (8), Bishnupur (4), Ukhrul (3), Kangpokpi (3), Noney (3), Churachandpur (2) and Kakching (1) districts.
Saturday also reported 29 recoveries from home isolation (16), JNIMS (6), Shija Hospital (4), RIMS (2), and Chandel (1) whereas no death case was reported in the last 24 hours.
Of the active cases, 332 (73,78 per cent) patients are in home isolation.
Till date, the pandemic has claimed 2120 lives including seven CAPF personnel and infected 1,37,873 individuals, which include 5,014 CAPF personnel.
The virus has claimed lives of 194 vaccinated persons of which 61 had received second doses.
So far, the state has recorded 628 positive cases since the beginning of the fourth wave of the pandemic with the current month recording 603 new cases.
The cumulative positivity rate for the current month rose to 12.15 per cent.
In the last 24 hours, 117 D-type and 14 B-type oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health facilities and 10,555 vaccine doses administered which took the cumulative number of vaccinated population to 16,02,770, out of which 12,71,796 had received the second dose and 1,32,196 jabbed with the precautionary dose.
As per data maintained by The People’s Chronicle based on IDSP and CCR reports, number of total cases in different districts are Imphal West (49058), Imphal East (30622), Thou bal (10192), Churachandpur (11069), Kangpokpi (3145), Tamenglong (3479), Bishnupur (9867), Senapati (2502), Ukhrul (3291), Kakching (6918), Chandel (2743), Noney (1166), Tengnoupal (1204), Jiribam (1113), Kamjong (1039), and Pherzawl (465) .
Data analysed by this daily shows that the rate of infection remains 44,432 confirmed cases per million population (based on projected population of 31,03,000 as per NCP report) against the national average of 31,068 CPM.
Test rate has improved to 5,21,964 tests per million population against the national average of 6,17,400 TPM.
Case fatality rate stands at 1.54 per cent and the recovery rate came down to 98.14 per cent.
The cumulative positivity rate stands at 8.51 per cent.
