Manipur: BJP Spokesman slams Congress Over recent Toolkit Campaign

Imphal, May 19 2021: BJP Manipur spokesperson M Asnikumar Singh has expressed displeasure over the recent Congress’ ‘toolkit’ saying it shows the Congress’ true intention amid the Covid pandemic.

Notably, the BJP has been accusing the Congress of creating a ‘toolkit’ that aims to tarnish the image of the country and Prime Minister Narendra Modi by calling the new strain of coronavirus as “India strain” or the “Modi strain”.

Congress had denied making any such toolkit and accused the BJP of creating a ‘fake toolkit’ .

In a statement, Asnikumar said the “leaked Congress toolkit has brought to light Congress’ real intention on the pandemic.

“Even Congress’ own mouthpiece Sanjukta Basu (who is also part of Rahul Gandhi’s social media team) has admitted that the exposed toolkit is of the Congress,” he said.

The Congress had first created doubts among the public over the vaccines.

Many had refrained from going for vaccination earlier due to the confusion they created, he added.

“Now that the truth has come out, Saumya Verma, a member of AICC research team who is the author of the toolkit, has now deleted all her social media accounts.

These people can hide but cannot run away from the truth.

This clearly shows their intention was never to help the people in need in the first place,” Asnikumar said.

He further accused the Congress of using the global pandemic as the perfect opportunity to project the country as a failed State.

“We don’t have any intention to engage with the Congress (which has lost its soul this time) when the priority should be on fighting the pandemic collectively.

But as this affects the humble, honest people of this great Nation we are compelled to respond.

Stuff like these makes us question ourselves about our choice of profession.

The BJP’s sole agenda was, is and always will be to fight this pandemic for each and every Indian.

India will win this battle collectively under our Hon’ble PM Narendra Modi’s leadership,” Asnikumar said.
