Imphal, June 04 2022: A team of Imphal West Commando arrested cadres of two different banned underground outfits today from different locations.
The team of Imphal West Commando led by Inspector P Achouba OC Imphal West Commando under the command of M Amit Additional SP Operation arrested PLA/ RPF active member from Soibam Leikai identified as Soibam Raynold alias Abungo alias Thoiba (24 yrs) s/o (L) S Shailesh Meetei of Soibam Leikai, opposite Citizen Club.
On spot interrogation, the arrested person disclosed that he started working for the said organization from April 2022 through a person named RK Chinglen alias Aggu of Kongba and Rocky presently staying in Myanmar.
He further disclosed that under their command, he extorted huge amounts of money from business establishments.
The team recovered one mobile phone, one fascino scooter and 95 Rs.500 fake currency notes from his possession.
The arrested person along with the seized articles have been handed over to the Porompat Police Station for necessary actions.
In another incident the same team of Imphal West Command arrested one active member of a banned underground outfit from Khongman Zone 3 identified as Kshetrimayum Bhogendro Singh (43 yrs) s/o (L) Ksh Kunjakeshwor Singh of Khongman Zone 3 .
Upon spot interrogation, the arrested person disclosed that he started working for the organization since 2006 under the command of SS Major Chaoba presently staying in Myanmar.
Under his command, he extorted huge amounts of money from private hospitals, doctors and businessmen.
From his possession, the team recovered two mobile phones, one pleasure scooter, one HP laptop used for various activities related to outfit and four mobile phone batteries.
The arrested person along with the seized articles have been handed over to the Irilbung Police Station for further actions.
