Kishorchandra Wangkhem had earlier filed an anticipatory bail application which was rejected by the Court of Sessions Judge, Senapati.
Senapati, Sept 29-2020: Kishorchandra Wangkhem, a resident of Keishamthong Moirang Ningthou Leirak, Imphal had been arrested by police this morning for his alleged communal derogatory remark posted on his Facebook page on September 3 at around 8:30 am.
The Maram Women’s Union had earlier submitted a written complaint to the Senapati police station for his unlawful remark on September 11 following which Senapati Police Station filed an FIR under section 124A/153A/505 of the Indian Penal Code and 3(1)R SC & ST POTA Act.
The accused had earlier filed an anticipatory bail application which was rejected by the Court of Sessions Judge, Senapati.
The arrested accused is reportedly at Imphal Police Station on 5 days remand. Further Court order is awaited for the accused. The accused was also arrested and jailed for his remarks on a political party last year.
