Indian Army Asks Chinese PLA To Return Kidnapped Boy

New Delhi/Sentinel Assam: The Indian Army contacted China on January 20 to locate the whereabouts of the abducted boy from Arunachal Pradesh and return him as per the existing protocol.

This comes a day after several reports floated about the abduction of a 17-year-old boy Miram Taron by the People’s Liberation Army (PLA).

As per reports, the youth was hunting and collecting herbs and subsequently lost his way and disappeared.

Defense Ministry sources revealed that the Indian Army contacted the PLA through established mechanism of hotline after the Army received this information and also sought assistance from the PLA to locate the missing individual on their side and return him as per established protocol.

Arunachal MP Tapir Gao informed on 19 January that the PLA allegedly abducted Miram Taron from Indian Territory in the Upper Siang district of Arunachal Pradesh.

The MP added that the PLA kidnapped the teenager from Lungta Jor area in Siyungla on 18 January.

Tapir Gao took to his official Twitter handle to share this news.

Gao told news agency PTI that Taron’s friend Johny Yaiying managed to escape and he immediately informed the respective authorities about the abduction.

Taron is a local hunter and hails from Zido Village in Arunachal Pradesh.
