The Government of Sikkim has agreed to allow people stranded in different parts of the country to return to Sikkim by their own vehicles if they so desire. This process would start from 11th May 2020 onwards.

For that, one has to register and apply for a permit at the GoS COVID portal. On approval, a link will be sent to the registered mobile number which can then be downloaded and carried along on the travel back home.

Also, all the traveling members have to compulsorily undergo 14-day quarantine on arrival.

Only limited number of vehicles will be allowed to enter Sikkim every day. To regulate the movement, priority will be given to medical patients. People desiring to travel on their own vehicle are requested to wait for approval after they apply for permission.

All those who will be traveling by own vehicle should reach the respective checkposts between 10 am to 1 pm every day.

Those belonging to the South and West District should head towards Melli checkpost and those from North and East district towards Rangpo checkpost.
