COVID-19: Manipur CM launches website, appointed a nodal officer to assist stranded people

The CM’s COVID-19 Relief Fund was created last week amid the outbreak of the global pandemic for emergency with a corpus fund of Rs 10 crore. Donations have poured in from various corners of the state with a total sum of Rs 22,56,000 received as on Saturday.

A mobile application of the website would soon be available on Google Play Store and Apple Store for users to download it as soon as it is approved, reports said.

On Saturday, the state government also appointed resident commissioner for Manipur Bhawan, New Delhi, PK Singh, as nodal officer to assist and guide Manipuris stranded in metropolitan cities due to lockdown.

Following the total lockdown across the country to combat the unprecedented pandemic, a number of organisations, citizens and students had appealed the government for help.
