As Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin tested positive for COVID-19, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday wished the Russian leader speedy recovery.
“My best wishes to Russian PM Mishustin for early recovery and good health,” Modi tweeted in Russian and English. “We stand with our close friend Russia in efforts to defeat the COVID-19 pandemic.”
Mishustin on Thursday announced in a video conference with President Vladimit Putin that he was diagnosed with COVID-19.
“It has been revealed that my coronavirus tests have come back positive,” Mishustin said. Mishustin said he “will self-isolate and follow doctors’ orders”.
