Around 50 patients from Manipur,stranded in Assam, appeal for CM Biren’s help to return

Around 50 patients from Manipur undergoing treatment in Assam have been stranded at Dhoolu in Cachar district. They had come to Dhoolu to visit a clinic that treats bone problems.

The stranded patients,in a statement sent a message to Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh to help them reach their homes.

Regarding the incident, a person from Khangabok named S Shyam informed that around 48 people, including patients and their attendants, who were stuck in Dhoolu had booked their tickets to return to Manipur on March 23, but due to the sudden lockdown in view of the COVID-19 alert, they were unable to leave the place.

The stranded patients and their attendants appealed to the chief minister to make their return journey possible as they have run out of money and are facing difficulties of getting their daily food for survival.
