Another Batch of 12 Students From Assam Lands In New Delhi From Ukraine

Guwahati: Another batch of 12 students from Assam studying in Ukraine have landed in national capital form the war-hit Ukraine. They will be staying at Assam House in New Delhi till the arrangement of their travel from Delhi to Guwahati. Taking to micro-blogging site Twitter, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Thursday apprised the same and said, ”Glad to share that another batch of 12 students from Assam studying in Ukraine have been successfully evacuated by @MEAIndia.

They will be accommodated at Assam House, New Delhi where they will stay till arrangement of their travel from Delhi to Guwahati”. During the meeting, the officials assured the family members and apprised the family members of the government’s decision for the safe return of these students stranded in Ukraine. The Indian Government is taking every possible step to evacuate stranded Indian nationals in Ukraine and have launched operation Ganga. Earlier, as many as 13 students have successfully returned to Assam with the help of Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), informed Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma.

In a bid to escalate evacuation, the Prime Minister Narendra Modi had called for Indian Air Force (IAF).
