AAMYA imposed Counter blockade in Assam against SAPO Bandh

Imphal, March 27 2022: All Assam Manipuri Youth’s Association, Assam (AAMYA) has imposed an indefinite counter blockade in Assam sector of the Assam-Nagaland highway with effect from Sunday midnight against the extension of bandh in Nagaland by Southern Angami Public Organisation (SAPO).

According to a statement of AAMYA, the indefinite bandh called by SAPO stranded many people, vehicles and goods trucks bound for Imphal thereby causing unbearable physical and mental torture as well as socio-economic crisis.

It also said that the undesirable decision was taken after SAPO failed to respond to the humble appeal of AAMYA to end the ongoing bandh.

AAMYA is deeply annoyed with the indifference of Nagaland government which is supposed to have resolved the crisis at the earliest, the statement said, adding that the counter indefinite bandh will continue until SAPO withdraws the indefinite bandh in Nagaland sector of the highway.
