9 different armed outfit in Manipur surrendered with weapons to join the mainstream. 43 cadres from KYKL, UNLF, PLA, PREPAK, KCP, KCP(N), KCO(PWG), NSCN(U) and PREPAK (PRO)
Imphal 7 Jan, 2023: 43 cadres of 9 different armed outfit in Manipur surrendered and also laid down weapons in front of Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh to join the mainstream.
The outfits are KYKL, UNLF, PLA, PREPAK, KCP, KCP(N), KCO(PWG), NSCN(U) and PREPAK (PRO).Cadres laid down arms before the Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh at a function held the 1st Battalion of the Manipur Rifles.

The 43 cadres of different underground groups include
- 13 cadres from KYKL,
- 5 cadres of PLA/RPF,
- 5 cadres of KCP(N),11 KCP(PWG),
- 5 UNLF,
- 1 PREPAK , 2 from PREPAK(PRO) and
- 1 cadre NSCN(U)
The surrendered weapons include 19 arms (13 pistols, 1 (9mm SMG), 2 AK series, 1 (12 mm) bore Gun, 1 muzzle loaded gun, 1 hand gun, 17 hand grenade, 5 hand held sets, 1 Kenwood set. 9 PEK, 5 IED & 209 ammunition.
Under the Revised scheme for Surrender-Cum-Rehabilitation of Militants in the North East State, 2018 of the Union Ministry of Home Affairs, rehabilitation benefits given to the surrendered cadres include a one time financial grant of Rs.4 lakh to each surrendered, which is to be kept in a bank in their names as fixed
