84 stranded Manipuris from Guwahati arrives at Mao Gate, screening held

IMPHAL: The 84 stranded Manipuris from Guwahati arrived at Mao Gate today morning in the four buses that was sent to bring them home. And at the screening held, there there were no suspects for COVID-19.

Sources informed media that the passengers arrived Saturday morning and were immediately screened of Medical professionals stationed at Mao Gate .

Since there were no suspects, they have headed for Imphal where the concern district administrators are likely to see into their well being, the source informed adding that they will be help in quarantine centres before they head to their homes.

Earlier this week, the state government had sent four buses to bring back stranded Manipuris from Guwahati. It was done in arrangement and agreement between the governments of the two states.
